ASSESSMENT INFORMATION AVAILABLE...Parents interested in reviewing information about the ARD Committee Decision Making Process for the Texas Assessment Program may check out a manual or CD from the Reagan County ISD Special Services office located at 501 N. Texas Street. The purpose of disseminating this information is to assist stakeholders in making decisions about student placement in required state assessments. These materials are provided by the Texas Education Agency and pertain to special education students in grades 3-11. Child Find is an ongoing process of finding children who need special services. Do you know a child from birth to 21 years of age who shows signs of developmental delay, on-going learning problems, and behavioral or medical problems that interfere with learning and might affect his/her success in life? The children of Texas come in all sizes, shapes, colors, and abilities. They do not all learn the same way, but they all learn. You may refer this child to Reagan County ISD Special Services, 501 N. Texas, or call the Special Education Director at 325.884.2016, or contact the Child Find Coordinator at Region 18 Education Service Center at 432.563.2380. |
